Amman, Jordan – Masader Al-Haq for Solar Energy, in strategic partnership with Cairo Amman Bank, has officially announced the commencement of commercial operations for its solar power plant in the Ma’an Governorate .
Following the successful completion of all technical tests and receiving official approval from the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO), the plant is now operational with a capacity of 50 MW and a peak capacity reaching 60.50 MW .
A National Milestone in Sustainable Energy
This project represents a significant achievement in Jordan’s renewable energy sector. It is the first project of this magnitude to be executed entirely by Jordanian hands—from design and construction to operation—marking a collaboration between a local bank and a local main contractor .
Key Project Highlights:
- Advanced Technology: The plant utilizes the latest global technologies, including advanced solar panel cleaning devices. It is the only project in the Kingdom to use this specific cleaning technology, ensuring high efficiency and continuous power generation throughout the year .
- Strategic Financing: The project was 100% financed by Cairo Amman Bank, utilizing the Central Bank of Jordan’s economic support program . This reflects the banking sector’s confidence in high-feasibility national projects and contributes to achieving the lowest electricity tariff in the Kingdom .
- Community Empowerment: In a commitment to social responsibility, the company has trained a group of male and female engineers from the local Ma’an community to supervise the plant’s operation and maintenance, creating jobs and enhancing local expertise in renewable energy .
Environmental and Economic Impact
The Masader Al-Haq plant is set to make a substantial contribution to Jordan’s green energy goals:
- Power Generation: The plant generates over 160 million kWh annually, sufficient to power approximately 15,000 homes with clean electricity .
- Carbon Reduction: The project reduces carbon emissions by roughly 103,000 tons per year .
- Environmental Equivalent: This reduction is equivalent to planting 1.7 million trees or removing 22,000 vehicles from Jordan’s roads .
This achievement underscores the commitment of both Cairo Amman Bank and Masader Al-Haq to supporting the transition toward clean energy and reinforcing Jordan’s position as a regional hub for sustainable development .
أعلنت شركة مصادر الحق للطاقة الشمسية، بالشراكة مع بنك القاهرة عمّان الممول الرئيسي للمشروع، عن بدء التشغيل التجاري لمحطة مصادر الحق للطاقة الشمسية في محافظة معان بقدرة تشغيلية تبلغ 50 ميجاواط، وباستطاعة قصوى تصل إلى 60.50 ميجاواط. وقد جاء هذا الإعلان بعد استكمال جميع الاختبارات الفنية اللازمة وحصول المشروع على الموافقة الرسمية للتشغيل التجاري من الشركة الوطنية للكهرباء (NEPCO).
ويمتاز المشروع بطابع وطني شامل، حيث جرى تنفيذ جميع مراحل العمل من التصميم والإنشاء وحتى التشغيل بسواعد أردنية بالكامل، ليكون بذلك أول مشروع بهذا الحجم يُنفَّذ بواسطة بنك محلي ومقاول رئيسي محلي، وهو ما يؤكد قدرة الشركات والكفاءات الوطنية على تولي مشاريع كبرى في قطاع الطاقة وفق مواصفات عالمية. وتعد المحطة أحد أبرز مشاريع الطاقة الشمسية في الأردن، إذ اعتمدت على أحدث التقنيات العالمية في إنتاج الطاقة، بما في ذلك أجهزة التنظيف المتطورة للألواح الشمسية، وهو الجهاز الوحيد من نوعه في المملكة، الأمر الذي يضمن مستويات عالية من الكفاءة واستمرارية توليد الطاقة على مدار العام.
وفي إطار التزام المحطة بدعم المجتمع المحلي، قامت الشركة بتدريب مجموعة من المهندسين والمهندسات الأردنيين من أبناء محافظة معان، لتمكينهم من الإشراف على تشغيل المحطة وصيانتها، بما يعزز فرص العمل ويوسع من مهارات الكوادر الوطنية في قطاع الطاقة المتجددة. وتتميز المحطة بقدرتها الإنتاجية العالية، إذ تولّد ما يزيد عن 160 مليون كيلوواط ساعة سنويًا، وهو ما يكفي لتزويد نحو 15 ألف منزل بالكهرباء النظيفة، كما تسهم في تقليل الانبعاثات الكربونية بنحو 103 آلاف طن سنويًا، وهو ما يعادل زراعة 1.7 مليون شجرة أو إزالة 22 ألف مركبة من الطرق في الأردن، مما يعكس الأثر البيئي الإيجابي للمشروع
