Location: Ad-Dhahirah Ibri, Oman

The agreement has been concluded with the Oman Power and Water Procurement Company to develop, build and operate the Ibri 2 Solar photovoltaic energy with a production capacity of more than 500 MWp-ac /600 MWp-dc in Ad-Dhahera county. The project are led by an alliance of ACWA Power, Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC) and Alternative Energy Projects Company (AEPC). The plant reached Commercial Operation date in August 2021, and it’s been operational since then. The project will provide enough energy to meet the needs of 33,000 housing units and will work to reduce approximately 340,000 tons of CO² emissions annually.
