Alternative Energy Projects Co Partners up with Green Sources Investments for the Development of 50MW Solar Plant

Amman, Jordan, 15 March 2024: Alternative Energy Projects Company has partnered up with Jordan-based development, contracting and investment company Green Sources Investments (GSI) for the development and execution of a utility scale solar PV power plant in Ma’an Jordan. The solar plant expected capacity of 50MW will contribute to the Kingdom’s ambitions to decarbonize its electricity sector and drive towards a net zero carbon target under the Kingdom’s Nationally Determined Contributions, with the short-term goal of conditional emissions reduction target of over 30% by 2030. This project will be a flagship project for AEPCo in Jordan and with the recent developments in technology along with the high irradiance values in Ma’an area, we expect to produce a benchmark in energy generation from a solar plant.
