The Complex of Ministries has an area of 150,000 m² and consists of 19 blocks accommodating six ministries: The Public Authority for Housing Welfare, The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, The Ministry of Social Affairs, The Ministry of Justice, and The Ministry of Finance. Aside from the main ministry buildings, the complex has major car parking areas in the east, south & north ends.

The Ministry of Finance commissioned the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a 490 kWp solar car park system (roofing for the Ministries’ Complex Car park) to AEPCo in order to reduce their energy consumption from the local grid via renewable energy. The system will be grid-connected and consists of 270 Wp, Sharp PV modules and SMA inverters covering the roof area of the car park along with an automatic washing and cleaning system. Installation of the system began in 2019, and AEPCo. provided 2 years of maintenance to the system post the commissioning date. The project has been successfully completed.
