Location: Junoot Eco Resort, Oman

Junoot Eco Resort is planned to be developed on a plot in Shuwaimiyah, on the north-east coast of Salalah City, in the Dhofar governorate.  The site is located about 300 km by road from Salalah and is planned to be powered using hybrid micro grid.

The eco-resort is developed by the United Real Estate Company (URC), a leading MENA real estate developer. In this project, AEPCo, has played the role of a consultant and a developer for United Real Estate Company (URC) to set up the initial requirement and planning to set up the hybrid power system for Junoot project.

The Junoot eco-dome and triple vault mock-ups have been built, which won first prize in the Future Projects – Leisure category at the World Architectural Festival 2012 as well as the Judges Special Recognition Award at the 11th Annual MIPIM Architecture Review Future Projects Award in March 2013.
